For 11 years Daniel Rechelbacher and Zhauna Franks owned award winning Salon 2b in the heart of the Financial District of NYC. Daniel and Zhauna now work as freelance artists and see clients in New York at the beginning of each month.
During a career spanning more than three decades Daniel has excelled in many roles. He got an early start as a hairdresser, beginning his studies under his uncle, the legendary Horst Rechelbacher, at the age of 13. It was his rigorous training and unmatched determination that launched his career from salon stylist to international platform artist and global educator. Daniel moved up quickly, working on multiple fashion and editorial campaigns and later becoming the Director of the original Aveda Institute in Minneapolis.
As owner and master stylist of his own award-winning Salon, it is evident that Daniel’s upbringing has had a major impact on him. He is fully dedicated to sustainability and health, and adheres to a firm ‘no harm’ philosophy. He applies his yogic practice and principles to all aspects of his life and work, from the products he uses to the way he treats each individual client.
Daniel’s clients are a diverse group that includes professionals, artists, and celebrities, and none are immune to his kind and infectious personality. Many clients rave about the one-on-one time Daniel takes to really understand and hear their needs and concerns. This personalized service is the keystone to his success and international appeal.
